Literature Text

Your tears are beautiful; licking your cheeks like little shards of lightbulb glass as you claw at your face with ink-scarred fingertips. Grimace like the behind-the-scenes of a sleepy lullaby as tiny rubies caress the hollows in your face.

The dawn is coming dearest, and the glittering halo reflecting off the sapphire and turquoise in the bay will turn the gemstones dripping from your jawline to Pegasi, and he'll scoop you up and take you up above the nightmares and sorrow where they can't reach your trailing dreams.

Ribbons flow behind you as rivulets fall from your hazy breath, drizzling sugar across the sweet-stained clouds. Little crystals of amethyst and diamond, nestling in the down of the cushions of the heavens.

The tiniest of droplets whets your appetite for rain so that you can dance in a spider-woven ballgown when your dearest darling envelops you in arms formed of cloud-dust and love's breath.

Little words of love flow from between your thinly-boned fingers fluttering across the keys and gripping the pen like a life-raft as you drown in an ink-flow, glittering arms try to pull you to safety and as you look up you see the grey eyes of the fallacy that is your beloved man of cloud-dust and love's breath.

This is a piece I wrote just moments ago. I personally think it's haunting.

Oh, and part of the last paragraph-thing is kinda semi-for ~Kn1ghtofDarknes, because of a comment I made.

:bulletblack:How do you perceive the imagery? Is it enough? Do you understand it? Is it beautiful? Is it terrible? Anything like that would be useful.
:bulletred:What do you think of the mood of the piece?
:bulletblack:Anything else that you notice would be much appreciated.

I got a DLD (Daily Literature Deviation) for this! Featured in =DailyLitDeviations' May 19th article. =jonathoncomfortreed featured it for me, this is what he said:
"~Kassi-Kamira has a very delicate
but powerful use of language that conveys
a sense of brittle perfection "of cloud-dust
and love's breath."

I have, in fact, featured this deviation before. Back when I was an admin at *DailyLitDeviations, I chose it. This is what I wrote: ~Kassi-Kamira has a very delicate but powerful use of language that conveys a sense of brittle perfection "of cloud-dust and love's breath." I chose a different quote this time ^ but my thoughts are pretty much the same: the diction is astonishingly beautiful.

Blog entry is here.

Its both haunting & beautiful.
I feel...drawn to this ghostly man, made of nothing more, but clouds and stardust.

Incredible imagery and use of words.
